The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LONDON ROAD 1. 1614 (West Side) Nos 21 to 25 (odd) TQ 5254/1/69 II 2. C18 stucco elevation masking older framed structure. 2 storeys. Parapet with moulded stucco coping. Broken ridge tile roof, raised in centre and half hipped to right. Modern shop fronts on ground floor. 3 widely spaced C18 sliding casements in moulded frames and with glazing bars. 1 small tiled dormer in centre. Side elevation with exposed vertical half timbering with plaster infilling on ground floor and tile- hanging above.

Dendrochronology dating of the rear wing gave a date range of 1588-1617. (2-3)
