Summary

A Neolithic/Bronze Age flint working floor was discovered in 1952 on the marsh west of Motney Hill. From the site, part of a polished axe, a transverse arrowhead, a Neolithic/Bronze Age bone, scrapers and cores have been found and donated to the British Museum. A leaf-shaped arrowhead has also been found in the area and is in the hands of its finder.

A Ne/BA flint working floor was discovered by Burchell in 1952 on the marsh W. of Motney Hill at TQ 8245 6820. From the site, part of a polished axe, a transverse arrowhead, a Ne/BA bone, scrapers and cores have been donated to the B.M. Burchell retains a fine leaf-shaped arrowhead.
