(TQ 89723428) Old Knockwood (NAT) (1) 1715 WOODCHURCH ROAD (North West Side) Old Knockwood (formerly listed as Knockwood) TQ 83 SE 3/135 8.5.50. II* 2. Originally Knock Farm. A C16 timber-framed house with plaster infilling. 2 storeys. Steeply pitched tiled roof with 2 large brick stacks. The 1st floor overhangs on the protruding ends of the floor joists. Curved brackets, diagonal braces on the 1st floor and a bressumer, originally horizontal but now sloping up in the middle of the front and then down again. 5 casement windows with original diamond panes. 2 blocked original window openings. Doorcase with obtusely pointed head. (2) Knock Farm, Tenterden, half-timbered, restored but still badly sagging. Long front with widely spaced studs, and a continuous overhang. (3)
