2. C18 front to timber-framed building. 3 storeys and attic plastered. Old tiled roof having 2 hipped dormers and a hipped belvedere. Carved wooden bracket cornice. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact. Overhang. 1st floor has 3 canted bays, 2 are 4 light, 1 is 3 light. Modern shopfront. The house was built originally as a Pilgrim's hostel.

Nos 25, 25A and 26 St Margaret's Street [TR 14935776 sited from OS 1/1250 1974]. Grade II. 18th century front to timber-framed building. No 8 The Parade [TR 14945778 sited from OS 1/1250 1974]. Grade II. 16th and 17th century timber-framed building. No 9 The Parade [TR 14455777 sited from OS 1/1250 1974]. Grade II 16th to 17th century timber- framed building. (1) Nos 25 and 26 St Margaret's Street and 8 and 9 The Parade, a prominentmedieval double-jettied building was recorded. Evidence for original partitioning at bay intervals indicates a 'row' or 'lodgings' development. (2) Nos 25-26 St Margaret's Street. Three bayed medieval building. No 8 and No 9 The Parade. Medieval timber-framed buildings. (3-4)

Dendrochronology dating of the roofs of 8-9 The Parade and 25-26 St Margaret's Street gave a date of 1377/8. (5)
