[Centred at TQ 72755806] A "number of British silver coins" were "found in digging for the foundations of the new mansion of Preston Hall", c. two years ago [?1852]. (1) The present location of these coins has not been discovered. (2) TQ 726580. Listed by D.F. Allen under 'Inadequately recorded coins' but one coin only is mentioned. Present whereabouts not known. (3)
