A concrete pillbox built into one of the emplacements of a practice gun battery (TQ 97 NW 138). It has a hinged metal flap over the gun slit and the mounting for the practice gun on the floor. It is contemporary with the gun towers built to either side of it (TQ 97 NW 110). The unreinforced concrete is severely cracked.

A concrete pillbox built into one of the emplacements of a practice gun battery (TQ 97 NW 138). It has a hinged metal flap over the gun slit and the mounting for the practice gun on the floor.
