Palaeolithic hand axe found July 1960 in surface of newly grassed field. Ovate, 4.5ins x 3ins, light brown patina. Approximate find spot TQ 76074739, pointed out on 6" by the finder (a)who still has the axe. (1) No further finds are reported by Mr. Highwood. (2)
