Site of ROC underground post for monitoring nuclear explosions and fallout. Built in 1965 and abandoned in 1991. Open and externally in good condition, internally flooded to a depth of 1ft. Bunks, cupboard and a folding table remain along with meteorological posters.(1)

This site was possibly the site of the No. 2 Wireless School stationed at nearby Penshurst Aerodrome, an RFC early warning station. (2)
