Built in 1890 to a design by George Devey and to a higher standeard than other 19thC estage cottage, probablt due to the prximity of the Main House, it is constructed of brick and stone. Originally used as the dairy to Place Barn Farm it was converted in the 1950's to domsetic use and later built down and rebuilt.(1)
