13 trenches were machine cut during the development of a car park at Manston Rd, Ramsgate. 5 trenches contained archaeology. Trench H (TQ 3607 6564) contained a flint scatter which could poss be assoc. with the prehistoric settlement remains found at the adjoining 1996 Tesco site (TR 36 NW 230). Prehistoric pot was found at TR 3601 6570, TR 3603 6559 and TR 3598 6564. An undated pit feature was found at TR 3599 6566. (1)
