Former site of a WW2 Pillbox, built by June 1940, near train ferry dock, Dover. Built of reinforced concrete and has now been destroyed. It was obsereved from Military aerial photographs during the S E Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment. A type 22 pillbox, measuring 3.8m in diameter positioned between railway lines at the western docks. It was first observed in June 1942 and is clearly visible on an oblique aerial photograph Dovers western docks taken in 1947, though had been demolished by April 1950. (1-3)
