WWII type 22 pillbox of reinforced concrete is visible on aerial photography taken in 1945, located along the seafront in Dover. This hexagonal pillbox measured 4.5m in diameter and was located 27.5m from the high water mark. An oblique aerial photograph taken of the seafront in 1948 does not show the pillbox suggesting that it had been removed by this date.
