Summary
A chalk pit was formerly located at Acol Farm. This feature is marked on the 1st and 2nd edition Ordnance Survey maps (c.1861 - 1895) as 'Old Chalk Pit' indicating it was out of use by this time. The outline of the pit is visible on the 3rd and 4th edition maps but it is no longer named. A modern boundary at this location may still reflect part of the shape of the chalk pit.

Not present on OS 6" 1st ed map (1872), but named 'Old Chalk Pit' on 2nd ed (1898). Disused by 3rd ed (1908), but modern boundary reflects the shape of the chalk pit. (1)
