Summary

Site of a Quayside brick shed of nineteenth century origin, located at Hoo Marina. The building was later re-roofed and extended. Its original purpose is uncertain but probably connected with boat construction, repair, refitting etc. Only an adjoining wharf was seen during a 2004 coastal survey.

Simple red brick shed probably of C19 origin, at east end of Hoo Marina complex. Building re-roofed and extended, original purpose uncertain but probably connected with boat construction, repair, refitting etc. (1). Site photographs (2-11). No visible remains in 2004 of boatyard building, but an adjoining wharf is still present. (12)
