Summary
A Sand pit was formerly located near the Elms at Abbey Green in the north of Minster. The site is marked on the 1st and 2nd edition Ordnance Survey maps (c.1861 - 1898) as "Old Sand Pit". The boundary is still visible on the 3rd and 4th edition maps (c. 1906 - 1940).
