Summary
A chalk pit was formerly located near Way. The site is visible as 'Old Chalk Pit' on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of c. 1861 - 1872. It is marked on the 2nd edition map of c.1896 - 1898. The boundary is marked on the 3rd edition map of c.1906 - 1908. The site is still visible as a disused pit today.
