Lower Palaeolithic site investigated by field walking and excavation in 1984. Large asemblage of Palaeolithic handaxes, flake-tools and debitage found (1, 2), probably representing sustained Palaeolithic occupation of the location. Some of the flint artefacts may be post-Palaeolithic. Presence of burnt flint may relate to post-Palaeolithic activity.
