A collection of 7 flint implements found by Mr Vacchel on the Downs behind Folkestone was exhibited in London, 17th Feb 1914 (1). Four of them are clearly Palaeolithic handaxes, of pointed ovate and sub-cordate form; 3 of them are small bifacial implements of ovate/sub-ovate shape of less-certain date, although attributed as Palaeolithic by RA Smith (1). Subsequently Recorded by Roe in the 1960s (2).
