Kingsdown, Crowslands: one Palaeolithic handaxe recorded by Roe in the 1960s in collection of London Institute of Archaeology (1), circumstances of recovery unknown (presumed surface-find). Property Crowslands is on edge of Gravelpit Wood, with a historic gravel pit at NGR 557715 161235. This handaxe may have been a surface-find from the field to south and east of Crowslands, or perhaps alternatively could have come from the woods or pit to the NW.
