Area of Roman cremation deposits overlaying an industrial area. Only a few sherds of pottery dating to the 1st and 2nd centuries were visible. The industrial area was indicated by large quantities of briquetage.

From information by Chaplin, A.P.G.M. employees, and by ground observations the following sites have been determined.
`A' [Centred TQ72287718]; site of Roman cremation burials overlying an 'industrial site' excavated by Chaplin, and marked by large quantities of briquetage visible in both banks of the baulk. Only a few sherds of 1st/2nd. c. pottery were found.
