More than 100 handaxes reported from site by Dewey & Smith (1), present throughout deposit sequence but most abundant in basal red gravel. More than 260 handaxes reported from site by Roe in various museum collections (2), mostly from British Museum and Canterbury Museum. Site included in Southern River's Project (3, 4), but incorrectly equated with Homersham's East Pit.
