Linton, general area: surface-finds of at least three Palaeolithic handaxes, found in late 19th century on farmland in area between Court Lodge, Wester Hill and Great Tilden (1, 2, 4, 5) in British Museum and Maidstone Museum. Recorded by Roe in the 1960s (6), then listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (7).
